High Heat Resistant Nylon Spatula with Holes 10"/25cm Review

Very surprised that this spatula didn't get more reviews. It works really well- much better than other spatulas at higher price points. Being a young inexperienced "chef" I've definitely left this spatula in the frying pan and while watching t.v.
So far, it hasn't even melted a little for all the abuse I put it through. A great purchase. (Btw, looks better in person than on the screen where it looks a little cheap). It's also a great size and works for in both my smaller skillet for turning veggies and my larger one for pancakes.

Progressive International Slotted Spatula / Whisk Review

Progressive International Slotted Spatula / Whisk

I don't usually gush about many things, but I first bought one of these angled spatulas about nine years ago at the EXECUTIVE CHEF / BATH & BUTLER store in the Ward Warehouse shopping center in Honolulu, Hawaii (you can Google it). I needed a spatula and the angle on the end attracted me to this one. I'd had several others previously and didn;'t like any of them: some melted while using them on mediup heat, some just didn't "feel" right when using them. I got this spatula home, and oh my God, this really is the best spatula ever! I went right back and bought three more because I use them for everything, and sometimes one needs another spatula-or-two when making several dishes simultaneously. No, it's not the most expensive (about $2.00 at the Executive Chef/Bath & Butler store), it isn't the stiffest so it isn't good for picking up or turning REALLY heavy items (large steaks/chops and large scoops of fried rice are okay), but it is a wonderful all-around spatula for jjust about every purpose: it doesn't melt easily (some other plastic spatulas melt on the edge even while using them), it's stiff enough for turning large steaks/chops and rice, as I mentioned, as well as eggs fish, or any other fried food, and the edge is great for chopping eggs or other "crumbly" items in a pan (not too good for cutting meat, however). I don't recommend letting them rest on the edge of any hot pan/pot, either;common sense should prevail as these are only nylon, after all...
I must confess that I've never used these purely as whisks (in a bowl), other than turning scrambled eggs in a pan, for example, so I can't talk to that feature, but I'm sure it would work because of the slots. This is such a great spatula that a friend of mine, who was visiting us in Hawaii from Colorado with her husband, asked why I had four of them in my utensil container on the counter by the stove and I told her what I said here in this review. She watched me use several of the spatulas while I prepared dinner, and she promptly informed me that she was stealing one!
Since moving to Richmond, VA, in 2006, I've continued to use several of the original spatulas I bought in Hawaii in 2001 plus a couple of replacements (one went backto Colorado with my friends and one melted when my daughter placed it on a hot burner), and I've been needing new ones. I've looked in just about every kitchen store in my area, plus a couple of outlet stores, in hopes of finding new ones, but I've only been able to find them on Amazon. I ordered three more and I'm keeping them in a cupboard to replace the old ones when I'm convinced they're finally worn out.
If you want a good spatula, don't spend a lot of money; buy this one (or more) for cheap in a store near you or you can pay a little more and order one from Amazon or anyone else who has them. Good luck, and enjoy!

SILICONE MD SPAT-(CLR HNDL)-BLU Review

I already have two sizes of these. The head is firmly sealed to the handle so that you get the best of having a really flexible head and a nice rounded handle--without having a groove where food can get ground in. Also, they are very pretty. I'm buying more now to replace all the old ones I have.

Norpro Silicone 11.5 Inch Medium White Spatula Review

It's getting hard to find a decent spatula at the grocery store, one that has a smooth head for scraping out a bowl, and a nice strong handle. This is it! I own two of these spatulas - one in white, one in blue - and they are fantastic.
The manufacturer asks you to remove the head for the dishwasher, which is a bit of an annoyance, but the spatulas are still going strong after hard kitchen use. I oil the handles when I do my chopping blocks, so they really look nice.
For about $4, I don't think you'll find anything better - and I haven't been impressed by any of the $12 spatulas.

Norpro 11.5 Inch Medium Spatula, Blue Review

The wooden handle is quite well-made, and comfortable to grip. The removable silicone head is a good, tight fit, so no worry about it slipping off, until you intend to slip it off to run through the dishwasher.
