Not bad for a first novel.
Style is reminiscent of Debbie Macomber but I won't hold that against Ms. Lee. The story is very real in the sense that there are no outstanding heroes, outrageously evil people, or overly virtuous heroines. It reads as if you are simply following the life of a woman who is facing some changes and accepts them.
It is light on character development but Ms. Lee shows promise. I look forward to her offering a more deeply explored storyline. I think she can do it.

In the hollows of eastern Kentucky, nurse Liz Campbell loses Porter, her songwriting boyfriend, to a red haired floozie from Nashville. The last person she expects to fall in love with is Jake Larsen - an uptight executive from the opposite end of the country.Sparks fly as Liz, Jake, and Porter come together in the strangest love triangle Clay City, Kentucky has ever seen. Set amid the splendor of the Appalachian mountains, Kentucky Moon is a tender story about trust, the power of love, and small miracles that can change lives forever.
